Using D.I.M.S technology to allow for clear central vision while providing myopic defocus in the periphery to slow the progression of myopia. It is important that the glasses are worn full time and are fit correctly so that your child is looking through the clear central part of the lenses and not the honeycomb design. Also available in photochromic and polarized for UV protection.
Daily disposable lenses designed to be worn for at least 10 hours a day and 6 days a week. It is important to follow the full-time wear regime to allow the lenses to work effectively. If your prescription has astigmatism, off-label multifocal monthly lenses are used, instead. Both types of lenses have treatment zones that function to create myopic defocus and correct the myopia but also slow its progression.
Specially designed rigid gas permeable contact lenses that reshape the cornea – the clear dome on the front of the eye. 7-8 hours of overnight wear is needed so that when lenses are removed in the morning, the myopia should be reduced or corrected. The reshaped cornea results in myopic defocus in the periphery to slow the progression of myopia.
Compounded low-dose atropine eye drops to slow the progression of myopia. The eye drops are to be used before bedtime daily, and day time spectacle or contact lens wear is still required to correct for prescription. These eye drops need to be prescribed and used with proper instructions for effective results.
